Book is packed with full of wonderful color photos throughout. Apart from different varieties, there is section on proper budgerigar management that deals with health, diseases, feeding, breeding and care. Every section has At a Glance box that quickly summarizes the section.
There is also a lot of information included when it comes to pairing certain varieties and their possible outcome including methods explaining how to produce different varieties by yourself. Similarly, author has expertly explained what to do when you came up with a new mutation.
Various tables and color charts are also included. The only thing I wish to be included in this title is a comprehensive table which shows all the varieties, mutations, types etc. with their country of origin, year on which these first appeared, name of person(s) who first bred them and length & weight of adult birds of that particular variety. For example, starting from the original wild budgie up to present day in Chronological order.
In the end, author shares his dream and work on producing the worlds first Pink Budgie !
